Jared Bauer is the co-founder and CEO of Seek Labs, a TechBio company developing programmable platforms spanning molecular diagnostics, biological intelligence, and programmable therapeutics to detect, understand, and treat disease. Under his leadership, Seek has built an integrated technology portfolio that combines molecular biology, computational biology, and programmable therapeutics to rapidly identify biological threats, generate actionable biological intelligence, and develop next-generation solutions across human health, animal health, biodefense, oncology, and emerging infectious disease. The company has established collaborations with commercial, academic, and government organizations while advancing a growing portfolio of peer-reviewed science, issued and pending intellectual property, and scalable platform technologies that enable faster detection, deeper biological understanding, and programmable intervention across a broad range of diseases.
Prior to founding Seek Labs, Jared acquired BurnFree Products in 2012 and led the company through significant international expansion, growing distribution to 58 countries before its successful acquisition in 2016.
Jared is also a recognized leader in Utah’s life sciences community. He co-founded BioHive and currently serves as Chairman of its Board of Directors, helping build and elevate Utah’s life sciences ecosystem into one of the fastest-growing and most collaborative in the United States. He also serves on the Board of Directors of BioUtah, where he works alongside industry leaders to strengthen Utah’s innovation economy and advance collaboration across academia, industry, healthcare, and government.
Beyond his work in biotechnology, Jared is committed to expanding educational opportunity around the world. He serves on the Board of Directors of The Oliver Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing access to education for refugee and underserved children through partnerships with local organizations across multiple countries.
Jared earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Utah and an MBA from Boise State University.
